Welcome to our blogs on all things health.

There are many different mental health disorders that people can have. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the five most common mental health disorders are:

  1. Depression: a mood disorder in which people experience long periods of low mood, loss of interest or pleasure, and other emotional and behavioral changes.
  2. Anxiety disorders: conditions in which people experience unreasonable or excessive fears that affect their lives.
  3. Schizophrenia: a serious mental illness in which people experience delusions, hallucinations, and other disturbances in thought processes.
  4. Dementia: a condition in which the brain deteriorates and memory, thinking, and behavior are affected.
  5. Drug and alcohol abuse: the use of drugs or alcohol in a way that is harmful to mental or physical health.

There are also other mental health disorders that are less common but can still be serious, such as bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
