For Referrers

Are you a general practitioner or other (medical) specialist and would like to refer someone to BrainArts? You can. The average waiting time with us is currently three working days. And you can easily and quickly refer clients to us via ZorgDomein.

Because we only offer treatment from the basic mental health care, a referral letter must meet the following points: 

  • Referrals are made to the BGGZ
  • AGB code of the referring physician and the AGB code of the practice are present
  • Reason for referral with suspected DSM 5 classification
  • Date of referral
  • Signature of referrer or practice stamp
  • Client information: BSN, insurance number and contact information

Only when stating the above information on the referral letter can the treatment provided receive reimbursement from basic insurance.

After completing the intake interview, a treatment plan is drawn up and discussed with the client. If the client agrees and signs a consent form, the referring party will receive correspondence about the course of treatment at the start and conclusion of treatment. 

In principle, we do not communicate in any way with third parties about our clients. The only exception to this rule is when this occurs at the request of the client himself, with a written statement of consent signed by the client. Under no circumstances do we respond to requests for information from third parties and these should at all times go through the client himself or the legal representative.
