Welcome to our blogs on all things health.

There are a few steps you can take to qualify for psychological help:

  1. Make an appointment with your primary care physician. Your primary care physician can refer you to a psychologist if she thinks it is necessary for your mental health.
  2. Make an appointment with another healthcare provider, such as a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist. They can also refer you to a psychologist.
  3. Find a psychologist on your own. In some cases, you can contact a psychologist directly and make an appointment without a referral letter. This depends on the psychologist’s practice and your insurance coverage.

It is important to remember that a referral letter from a healthcare provider is not always necessary to receive help from a psychologist. If you are concerned about your mental health and would like help, please contact a psychologist or other qualified healthcare provider to discuss your options.
