Welcome to our blogs on all things health.

Unyte does not operate an organization in the Netherlands; however, there are therapists available who have completed the Safe and Sound Protocol training program at Unyte.

At BrainArts, we are certified for both the SSP/Safe and Sound protocol and the Focus system. We recommend checking whether providers are affiliated with Unyte and are certified so that they can offer the appropriate care. The cost for a five-session treatment using the SSP Safe and Sound protocol is around 500 euros at most providers.

We offer the Safe and Sound protocol—including our in-house training program based on Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory—to our clients whom we assist through the primary mental health care system. A referral from a primary care physician is required for this. This can be easily arranged through ZorgDomein. You do not need to live in the Utrecht region, where we are based. We can also provide this support online and remotely.

Because we provide non-contracted care, the health insurer does not cover the entire bill. Depending on your policy, you may have to pay a portion of the cost yourself. In most cases, it is therefore more cost-effective to register for the SSP program yourself; see below.

Would you like to participate in the SSP program without a referral from a primary care physician? Then check it out here and get started with SSP today.
