Welcome to our blogs on all things health.

A psychologist will ask various questions during a session, depending on what you're discussing and the goals of the session. Some questions a psychologist might ask include:

  • What brought you here today?
  • What are the problems you're currently struggling with?
  • What are your goals for this session and for your treatment as a whole?
  • What are your strengths, and how can we use them to help you achieve your goals?
  • What challenges are you currently facing?
  • How are you currently dealing with emotions and stress?
  • What are the most important events in your life that affect your well-being and quality of life?

A psychologist will also ask questions to learn more about your background and how you cope with past and present problems. A psychologist’s questions will help them gain a better understanding of your emotional and mental health and develop a treatment plan that’s right for you. It’s important to be honest with a psychologist and to answer all questions as best as you can so they can provide you with the best advice and treatment.
