Specialized mental health care (GGZ) focuses on treating severe or complex mental health problems that cannot be adequately addressed through primary mental health care. This type of care is intended for people with severe or chronic mental health problems who require intensive treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specialized mental health care can also be provided to people who suffer from multiple mental health problems at the same time or to those who do not respond well to treatment in primary mental health care.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is important to remember that treatments in specialized mental health care are often more intensive and last longer than treatments in primary mental health care. They may also require more specialized knowledge and expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n
